"Self-Esteem Through Movement"

Class
and Fee Schedule

Registration
Fee
A non-refundable $50
registration fee is due from every participant in Stroup's Gymnastics
the first time they register for classes each academic year. The fee
includes membership in the Stroup's Gymnastics program from June 1
through May 31. This fee covers the required gymnastics insurance
and membership in Stroup's Gymnastics program for a period of 12 months.
The registration fee is in addition to class tuition payments.
When to
Register
Registrations are
accepted on a first-come first-serve basis, with no priority given to
either current or new students. As many of our classes close out each
session, we recommend that you register by the pre-registration dates to
guarantee your child's place in class and avoid disappointment.
How to Register
Submit registration
form with registration fee and either full tuition or first installment
payment to Stroup's Gymnastics:
By Mail, with check:
P.O. Box 2081
Jamestown, NY 14702-2081
In Person, with cash,
check or money order:
1385 Kiantone Road
across from Stillwater Feeds
We will accept
students at any time, provided there is space available in the class.
Tuition will be pro-rated if a student enrolls after the session has
already begun.
Installment Payments
An installment
payment option is available for your convenience for all gymnastic
classes. If you take advantage of this, your child's space in class is
reserved for the full 12 week session. You are responsible for the full
tuition payment regardless of your child's actual attendance.
Late Fees
A $10.00 late fee will be charged to
students who have an unpaid balance after the 10th of each month.
Refund Policy
All registration fees are non-refundable. No tuition refunds will be
granted once classes have begun. By registering for a class you are
reserving a spot in that class therefore; you are responsible for the
full tuition payment regardless of your child's actual attendance.
Refund requests for personal reasons must be submitted in writing no
later than ten business days prior to the start of the session. Verbal
requests or requests received after this time will not be accepted.
All refunds for personal reason will be assessed a $10.00 administrative
fee. Refund checks will be mailed within approximately 3-4 weeks from
request approval.
Returned Check
Policy
A $25.00 fee and all bank fees will be charged for each check returned
for insufficient funds. This is non-negotiable.
Missed Classes
& Make-Ups
Our classes are staffed to meet the needs of each class. To allow
students to make-up classes at different times would infringe upon other
students class time. Because of the developmental nature of our
program, we request that all students be on time for each class, and try
not to miss many classes.
-
All make-up classes must be
scheduled and approved by the front office.
-
A minimum one week prior
notification is required to ensure proper staffing.
-
There are no
refunds or credits given for missed classes.
-
It is the student's
responsibility to attend class, therefore, reductions will not be
granted for missed classes.
-
Students are
allowed to make up 1 absence per month regardless of how many classes
have been missed. They must make it up within 30 days of the absence.
-
The office
personnel must be notified in writing of a prolonged illness or injury
for exceptions to be made.
Absences
-
After 2 consecutive
absences (without notification to the gym office) the child will be
withdrawn from class.
-
Please notify the
gym as soon as possible if your child is injured outside the gym or is
diagnosed with any communicable diseases (chicken pox, measles, mumps,
strep throat, conjunctivitis, pink eye, pneumonia, etc.) and will be
missing consecutive classes.
-
Medical releases
are required before returning to class for any child that has been
seen by a doctor or in medical care for any injury or illness that
resulted in an extended absence from class. No child is allowed to
participate until the gym receives this release.
Withdrawal from class
-
Written
notification to the office, not the instructor, is required two weeks
in prior to withdrawing a student from a class. Payment is required
until the final day of withdrawal.
-
The recreational gymnastics
"season" runs from September - June. Any student dropping from the
program or going on hold must give 2 weeks written notice.
Clients are responsible for tuition covering the two-week notice. If
notice is not given to the front desk, the client will be responsible
for that month's tuition.
Injury Policy
In the event that your child is
injured and is unable to participate under doctor's orders for at least
two weeks, please present a written doctor's order to the office and you
will be given the appropriate tuition credit towards a following
session. Cash or check refunds will not be given. A written doctor's
release is required prior to your child returning to the gym.
PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR CLASS!
Proper dress helps
your child stay safe and excel in class.
-
A one-piece leotard
is required for girls (tumblers and gymnasts, both). No bare
midriffs, please. Bike shorts or Lycra dance pants may be worn over
leotard. Gymnastic slippers are optional, dance tights are not
permitted.
-
Hair must be pulled
back securely. Whatever works best for your hair is fine... pony
tail, pig tails, etc. Long bangs need to be pulled back also.
-
No jewelry, please.
This includes necklaces, anklets, rings, etc.
-
Boys should wear a
tucked in T-shirt with gym shorts or jogging pants, no belts, buckles,
zippers or snaps. Cotton socks on the feet are fine for some events.
Drop off - Pick
up
-
At no times should
a child be left unattended waiting for class to begin
-
Children must be
picked up as soon as class is over.
-
There is a $5.00
charge for every 30 minutes a child is here after class. Our staff is
not able to stay after class or able to tend to children when another
class is in progress.
-
CHILDREN MUST
WAIT INSIDE THE BUILDING
Observation
Policy
Parents are welcome to observe classes at any and all times provided
that they remain in the designated observation areas. For safety
purposes parents are not permitted to stand or sit in the training area
during their child's class. Observers can at times be a distraction, and
therefore they present a safety concern. Gymnasts are able to see you
just as well as you can see them. If you are becoming a distraction,
please step away from the gymnast's view for a few minutes. If you
arrive early to pick up your child, please do not disturb/interrupt
class; wait for your child’s class to be dismissed. We thank you in
advance for your understanding and your cooperation.

inclement weather such as snow, sleet or ice. In this event, the gym’s
phone message and website will be updated as necessary to keep you
informed of closings or changes in class hours. Whenever feasible,
missed classes will be re-scheduled for make-up by the end of the
session in which they occur. When re-scheduling is not feasible,
students will be given a credit voucher that can be used towards open
gym or the equivalent. Please note that these vouchers cannot be
redeemed for cash refunds, and are not transferable.
Classes cancelled due to weather or other emergencies will be announced on local radio stations SE-93 and WJTN.
